Pictures and momentos from my parents' trip to visit me.

I looooooove aquariums. So I have lots of pictures. I decided to use a technique I saw on Ali Edwards' blog where she used a Crop In Style sticker organizing sheet for a layout. I figured this was perfect for the bazillion photos I had. But I also wanted a traditional layout for the people pictures and map. I'm not sure how I will put this in my album yet. Maybe with the animals in between the other 2 pages...
I decided to use my cousin Nikki's awesome idea of adding some of the botanical photos I've taken to my cards. The Get Sketchy challenge for this week proved to be the perfect opportunity! And I used some patterned papers from the SEI Bridgeport stack my mom bought me recently. I just love the colors in this collection. "Get Well" seemed to be a fitting sentiment on this card because it's almost like sending flowers. =)

Warren and I love reading the comics every Sunday morning (ok, fine.... afternoon). Get Fuzzy is usually amusing to us, but this one really hit home. So I decided to scrapbook it, of course! I added a picture of my cat's empty bowls - it fits with the comic and I just love their bowls. ;)

This layout was inspired by Jennifer! She did a collage layout with a ton of photos she took while visiting me in April and titled it "Adventures in Friendship." She had the perfect idea for scrapbooking the trip, so I copied her! ;) I did full layouts for our stops at the Botanical Gardens and the Jelly Belly Factory, but the photos and journaling here cover the rest of our activities.

The final page from my friend Ali's visit! We met up with another sorority sister, Eileen, for dinner at Sam Wo's. If you haven't been to this restaurant in the city yet, you should. It's an "experience."

This card is for the challenge over at Marks Paper Company.

Hi Noey! I love the cherry good wishes card, but then I love cherries! The car chipboard album is super cute but I would personally never use it because I'd be too afraid to ruin it.
All the suggestions are great so far! I like the idea of invites doing a pack of 10-15 would be great! What about wedding related stuff? Maybe escort cards or table numbers. Baby or wedding shower cards. I like to buy things in packs, so maybe a set of 3 or 5 cards like thank yous or birthday cards.

The 4th Annual Maker Faire! We got a group of 10 together and headed to the Maker Faire in San Mateo on May 31. It was fun seeing all the handmade items from cars to papercrafts. We entered a bunch of raffles and my friend Sara won a Cuttlebug! =)
One of the scrapbooking stores by me went out of business recently (for a good reason, though - the owner is the lead designer for the scrapbooking brand My Little Shoebox and needs more personal time). Anyway.... I got super lucky when she had one last paper rack for sale. I've been wanting one of these for quite a while now. There are 30 shelves so I can organize my paper really well.
