Scrapbook Generation Publishing Creative Team

Exciting news!

As I've mentioned before, I love sketches and I use them for much of my work. A favorite resource for double page sketches is Allison Davis' blog.

Well Allison, along with her family, own Scrapbook Generation Publishing under which Allison and her mother have published sketch books. And they have a scrapbooking store in MO, too! As part of their expansion in 2011, they've rounded up a Creative Team to help them show what sketches are all about. They will now be creating single page sketches, card sketches, and add-on sketches for smaller projects, too!

I've been asked to join their Creative Team!

I made these 3 projects with their sketches as part of my entry for the "job:"

I'm so excited to work with Allison and the other members of the Creative Team!

Mirror Tobin

Tobin was just full of giggles, squeals and smiles for his new best friend, Mirror Tobin!

Welcoming Julia

One of my sorority sisters, Anna, was pregnant at the same time as me. The girls gathered in VA back in March to celebrate with her. Here is her baby shower, and her adorable Julia's birth announcement. This photo doesn't show it, but she has super cute spiky baby hair!!

Celebrating Baby

A few pictures from the California baby shower my friend Ali threw for me. We had a wonderful morning tea and then gathered at our new home for cake and presents. Other than the interruption of having our washing machine and dryer delivered during the event...ugh... it was fabulous!

Growing & Glowing

These are two different layouts for the same photos. The first (double 12 x 12) is for my regular chronological album and the second (single 8 x 8) is for my mini maternity album.

While in Austin for my baby shower hosted by Jennifer, Ashley and Sylvia, Jennifer had a couples photo shoot with her husband. The photographer, the amazing Mollie of Bloom Photography, saw my bump and snapped a few shots for me. =) I love that we got these photos with the bluebonnets!

Details: Now that I blog away from my scrapbook space, it's getting harder to write every product I used. I'll do my best, but if you want to know about anything, just post a comment and I'll respond. =)

12x12 layout: Title was cut using the Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut cartridge.

Sahar & Chris' Wedding

Only a year+ later I finally scrapped this wedding. Our friends got married last summer in Austin. They had a beautiful ceremony downtown, then we gathered at The Salt Lick for some wonderful BBQ and celebrating. Chris even brewed his own beer for the occasion!

Sadly, my photos of these layouts are a bit bleached. For example, the scalloped paper on the left side of the lower layout has a pattern on it, Oh well...I tried.

Details: Blue/browm patterned paper is by the Paper Company. Green flourish was cut using the Storybook Cricut cartridge. "B~" was cut using Lyrical Letters. "Texas Celebration" was cut using Plantin Schoolbook. And "style" was cut using Calligraphy.

Watching Our Garden Grow

My top priority when we moved into our new home was to get a potted garden up and growing. I found these beautiful blue pots and knew they were perfect! I tried to grow a large variety of produce this season to determine what grows well. The best were: tomatoes (though they need bigger pots next year!), cucumbers, lettuce, and carrots.

Details: Patterned papers and stickers are by Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety. "GROW" was written with Making Memories cork alpha stickers and the rest of the title was also written with stickers by MM. I forget who makes the bumblebee brads.
