Tahoe Ski Trip 3

Here is our last Tahoe trip for 2009. Warren's family goes to Heavenly each year and this year we joined them for one day of skiing (we had just gotten back from Europe so we couldn't take off ANOTHER week for skiing).

I included the comic because it was from the paper the day we went skiing and it was so relevant. =P

Details: Bright green patterned paper is by Anna Griffin. Diamond patterned paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle - Vita Bella Collection. Snowflake stickers are by Heidi Grace - exclusively for Archiver's. Snowboard embellishment is by Jolee's Boutique. "Tahoe" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Loop Dee Loo feature). "Ski Trip 3" was written with Making Memories glitter alpha stickers.

Housewarming

In March, we invited all of our friends in the area over for food and to celebrate Warren's birthday and have a housewarming. Sadly, we didn't get any pictures of Warren. Mental note for the future: get photos of the honored guest! ;)

Details: The patterned papers are on opposite sides of the same sheet from Sasafrass Lass. The scalloped orange border came with it, too. The journaling block was given to me by my scrappin' buddy Jennifer. =) "Housewarming" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Jack Sprat feature).

Happy Father's Day!

Here is the card I sent my Dad for Father's Day this year.

Details: To make the base of this card, I stamped acrylic with green Staz-on ink and a leaf clear stamp. The striped paper is by Stampin' Up. "F" is a K&Company recycled chipboard letter. "ather's" was written with Prima flocked alphas. "Happy" and "Day" were written with Heidi Grace rub-on alphas. Shoes were from a $1 set at Michael's that came with a golf bag and golf balls.

Colt's Album

I made this 8 x 8 album as a gift for my mother's cousin for Father's Day (from his son). This mini album was made with paper, chipboard and binder rings. The front and back cover are chipboard covered with paper and the inner pages are just back to back papers. I used a paper stack by Colorbok - English Meadow as the base pages.

Details: "Things" and "Daddy" were written with K&Company recycled chipboard letters. "I like to do with my" was written with alpha stickers by mls.

Details: Owl and branch were cut using the Storybook Cricut cartridge. "Cuddling" and "play" were written with alpha stickers by mls. "Peekaboo" was cut using Opposites Attract. Doodlecharms, Stretch Your Imagaination, and Paperdolls Cricut cartridges were used to cut the shapes for the mobile.

Details: "Spending," "time," and "granddad" were cut using the Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge. Grass was cut using Plantin Schoolbook. Tall grass and cricket were cut using Stretch Your Imagination. "3" if from a ki memories acrylic letter set.

Details: Zeros, ones and "Taking a a dip" were cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge.

Details: I made the clear page by cutting down a 12x12sheet of acrylic and stamping leaves on it with dark green Staz-on ink. Giraffe and elephant were cut using the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. "Going to the Zoo" was cut using Lyrical Letters.

Details: "Sharing" was cut using the Stamped Cricut cartridge. "Grow" was cut using Lyrical Letters. "Growing strong..." was written with alpha rubons by Heidi Grace. I pop-dotted some of the leaves for dimension.

Our New Address

I kept a copy of the change of address cards we sent out to our friends and family. I have really fallen behind in my scrapbooking, so I'm keeping some layouts simple to catch up!

Details: Diagonal plaid patterned paper is by American Crafts - Cat's Cradle. Scalloped edge was made with the Fiskars Threading Water punch. Leaf was cut using the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge. "Our new address" was cut with Alphalicious.

Honky Tonk Homicide

Pictures from a party at a friends house. All us "Texans" got together for dinner and a murder mystery game. It was a blast! I kept our invite and my nametag to enhance this layout.

Details: Red/blue patterned papers are from a huge set I bought a Costco by Memory Stor. Wood grain paper is by Paper Pizazz. Scalloped edge was made with the Fiskars Threading Water punch. "Homicide" was written with Petals and Possibilities Scrap Metal letters. "Honky Tonk" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Jack Sprat feature). Cowboy hat was cut using Paper Dolls.

A Walk with a View

While my parents were visiting, we went to Ed Levin County Park to see views of the bay from the ridge. We weren't up for a long hike, so we just walked up the hill a bit to enjoy the nice weather and had a decent view. We also watched some paragliders.

Details: Patterned papers are from the DCWV Green Stack (70% recylced). I made the journaling block by rounding the corners of a square scrap and cutting the tree out of the extra patterned paper. Large tree was cut using the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge (I cut the bubble for leaves by hand). "a Walk with a View" was cut using Lyrical Letters (Jack Sprat feature).

Soelden

Here is my mom and I by the river that ran through the town of Soelden. On our day off from skiing we walked down to town for lunch.

Details: Blue paper with swirls is by Heidi Grace - Vineyard Shimmer. Grey and white swirl was cut out of American Crafts paper (see Ski Tunnel post). Button is also American Crafts. Scalloped line was made using an EK Success corner rounding punch. Letters/Numbers are from two different glitter alpha sets by Making Memories.

Ski Tunnel

We'd never seen a ski tunnel before and thought this needed to be documented. =) In order to get to one area of the ski resort, you had to pass through this concrete tunnel they bore through the mountain.

Details: The background grey/white patterned paper is by American Crafts - Modabella Pretty. The striped paper is Heidi Grace - exclusively for Archiver's. The embellishment in the center was cut out of the background paper (center) before glueing the papers together. Stitching was done on my regular sewing machine. "Ski" was written with Making Memories glitter alphas. "Tunnel" was written with American Crafts Thickers foam alphas.

Kasespaetzle

I took a picture of my food in Austria because it was a Bavarian specialty, but my sister-in-law got a little mad when I called it "German Macaroni and Cheese." =P

Scalloped journaling circle is by Jenni Bowlin. Glitter rubon of sticks/leaves is by Colorbok (my Wild Life). "Kasespatzle" was written with Prima flocked alphas.

Beautiful Views

A pretty simple layout of the views we saw on the mountain in Austria. I really wanted the focus to be the photos. But I swear this layout has more tecture in person with the shiny and fuzzy papers I used.

Details: Silver paper is Bazill Bling. White paper is doodlebug design - lily white chenille cardstock. Ski chair is by Jolee's Boutique. Black glitter lettering is by Making Memories. "Beautiful" was cut using the Storybook Cricut cartridge.
