New Mexico Part 3

On our way back to Albuquerque on Sunday, my mom and I searched out this natural hot springs location. It was a small hike off the road, but so worth it! There was a little cave where the super hot water come out, poured into a large pool and then overflowed into a smaller (cooler) pool below. The view from the springs was quite pretty since it was a bit up the mountain.

Details: Patterned papers are by Basic Grey Boxer line. Ribbon is by Love, Elsie. Journaling block is by Basic Grey Origins. Branch rubon is by Colorbok. Title was cut using the Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge. I used my Gyspy to connect the letters in "springs" and squish them to the right sizing for my space. I stamped on "Hot" with Versamark water mark ink and a background stamp block.

New Mexico Part 2

On Friday of our New Mexico weekend adventure, we spent the day in Santa Fe. Mostly we wandered around the shopping area of town and then through the art galleries on Canyon Road. The colors in the city were just beautiful and I had a lot of fun taking pictures!

Details: Green background patterned paper I made myself. I started with Bazzill cardstock in Guacamole and used a background stamp and Versamark ink to stamp the whole sheet. I intentionally avoided stamping the image clearly to give it a more weathered look. Other patterned papers are by the Basic Grey Boxer line. Film strip ribbon and metal arrow accents are by Tim Holtz. Title was written with Making Memories cork alpha stickers.

New Mexico Part 1

In September, my mother and I attended my cousin's wedding in Los Alamos. Since we'd never been to New Mexico before, we had to make a mini vacation out of it! We started in Albuquerque and drove up the eastern route through Santa Fe. After the wedding, we took the scenic, western route back to Albuquerque. Here is part of our day in Santa Fe. We saw two very interesting churches in the area. The first was the oldest church in the country and the second had an amazing staircase that seems to defy gravity. A few more layouts from this trip are still to come...

Details: For this trip, I chose the Basic Grey Boxer line of papers. I think the red tones go very well with the New Mexico architecture. On the first page, the journaling blocks are by K&Company (red) and Basic Grey (green). Scalloped edge is by Bazzill Just the Edge cardstock. "Welcome to" was written with cork letter stickers from the Target dollar bins. "New Mexico" was written with Making Memories puffy alpha stickers. On the second page, journaling block is by Deja Views and heart cardstock sticker is by mls. "A feat of" was written with Jenni Bowling alpha stickers. "Engineering" was cut using the Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge.

Eat, Drink, & Be Married

I love making wedding layouts! Warren and I were able to travel around this year to celebrate the weddings of a few friends and family members. Here we are in Austin celebrating with a childhood friend of Warren's. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the reception was so much fun! Congratulations to Alex and Daniel!!

Details: Red patterned papers are by Making Memories Love Notes. Leaf patterned paper is by Reminisce Wedded Bliss. Flower and journaling stickers are by Stampin' Up. Title was a pre-designed cut on the Calligraphy Cricut cartridge.

Pismo Beach

Warren and I drove to LA for Thanksgiving to visit friends and family. We took the scenic route down along the coast and we excited to get out and stretch our legs on the beach. =)

Details: Striped paper is by Heidi Grace. Ribbon is by American Crafts. California sticker is by Reminisce. "P" and "B" are cardstock stickers by Heidi Grace Woodland. The rest of the title was cut using the Stamped Cricut cartridge.

Thanksgiving 2.0

Last year I had so much fun making Thanksgiving dinner that I decided to do it again once Warren and I were back home after the holiday this year. I got this cute new apron on Black Friday and on December 5, I made a repeat feast.

Details: Green patterned paper is by Sassafras. Gold textured paper is by Making Memories. Photo corner paper is by Crate Paper. Journaling block is by October Afternoon (from Jennifer...woohoo!). Title was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. I welded the title around a circle using my Gypsy.

Our Snowy View

Back in December, we woke up to this beautiful view with snow on the eastern ridge of hills that you can see from our kitchen and porch. Sadly, it didn't even last the whole day before melting.

Details: Snowy white paper is the new Bazzill glazed cardstock. Striped paper is Glitzmas by SEI. Scalloped overlay and "It's the little things" rub on are by Colorbok. Journaling block is from the Black and White mat stack by Creative Memories. Blue Mosaic squares and blue nailhead bling stickers are by Mark Richards. "Our" was written with Making Memories glitter alpha stickers. "Snowy view" was cut using the Ashlyn's alphabet Cricut cartridge.

All in a Day's Adventure

These two layouts go together from the same day. After Thanksgiving, we decided to go adventuring for the day. We set out for the Conejo Botanic Garden, a local fruit stand, and a drive along the coast. The first stop got it's own layout and the second layout covers the rest of our adventure.

Details: As always when I'm trying to tie layouts together in my chronological album, I chose one line of papers. These patterned papers are all from the SEI Bridgeport paper stack. Green border on first layout is by K&Company. "Fresh Air" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Jack Sprat feature). Tree was cut using Gypsy Wanderings. "All in a day's" was written with American Crafts alpha stickers. "Adventure" was cut using Lyrical Letters (Connected feature) and I welded the letters together with my Gypsy.

Favorites - Fall

I love how our apartment is surrounded by maple trees. In the fall, we get to watch all the leaves slowly turn red. Fall is my favorite season!

Details: Background red distressed paper is by My Mind's Eye Bohemia. Vine paper is by My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow. Glitter stickers are by White Blossom. Rubon (which you sadly can't read) is by Pink Paislee. Rubon says: Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.
