Local Cravings

More layouts about food! Apparently I'm a fan. Between the ceremony and reception for a friend's wedding, we went around Austin collecting up our favorites. Jimmy John's (there aren't any where I live now), Tiff's Treats, and Amy's Ice Cream. I also went to dinner at Chuy's with Jennifer.

Details: Background paper is Beachy Shadow Wash by Paper Adventures. Pear paper is by Basic Grey Nook & Pantry. Journaling block is by Jillibean Soup. Metallic chipboard photo corner is by Colorbok. Green squiggly border is by Doodlebug Design. "Local Cravings" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge.

Art Project

Our bedroom has been lacking in decoration for a while. I've been getting ready to move the furniture around and had this exciting idea for artwork that involved mostly items I already owned. I picked up a canvas frame from Michael's and went to town!

I'll try to add a post once the furniture is moved and this piece is hung (over the bed).

Products: Tapestry fabrics. Patterned ribbons are by DCWV All Dressed Up. Then I used some random flowers and buttons from my scrapbooking stash.

Only in Austin

Gotta love Austin! We stopped by Amy's between the ceremony and reception for a friend's wedding. I just wanted a picture of the menu since they draw it by hand on a chalkboard. Well, that wasn't good enough! An employee saw me and stopped serving ice cream to all customers. They closed the coolers and had us climb on top to get our picture WITH the menu. Awesome. =P

Details: Green/periwinkle die cut sheet is by My Mind's Eye Penny Lane. Purple patterned paper is by Basic Grey Wisteria (dahlia). Journaling block and "laugh" chipboard accent are by Colorbok. "Only in Austin" was written with Making Memories glitter alpha stickers.

All Played Out

Oh, Poseidon. He played so hard with his milk top ring, that he tired out and crashed for a nap in the hallway.

Details: Kitty paper is Eat, Sleep, Play by Reminisce. Cat Nap brad is by Around the Block. "All Played Out" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Jack Sprat feature).

Good Eats

More pictures from my trip home in August. When on vacation in familiar cities, it's a priority of mine to enjoy all of my favorite foods nearby. This spread covers my favorite bagels, Mexican food, and pizza. Yummmmm!

Details: Patterned papers are all by SEI Bridgeport line. Black stitching was done on my sewing machine. "Good Eats" and "La Carreta" were written with Making Memories glitter alpha stickers.

Picnic in the Park

For Easter, we gathered with friends for games and good food at the park.

Details: Background papers are by SEI Simple Sets Softy (baby steps and sleepy stripes). Orange patterned paper is by SEI Oasis. "Picnic in the Park" was cut using the Cuttin' Up Cricut cartridge.

The detail along the right edge was inspired by my awesome scrapbooking buddy, Jennifer. I used clear ink and clear embossing powder on most of the circles and clear ink with Zing metallic silver embossing powder on the yellow circle.

Adventuring in Maine

Back in August, we had a reunion of my immediate family. I flew home from Cali, and my brother flew home from Germany. These are pictures from our day trip up to Maine to explore, get lunch, and shop at the outlets.

Details: Blue background paper is Boy Branch (Baby Safari) by Little Yellow Bicycle. Light paper is actually a white and yellow pinstripe by SEI Bridgeport. Blue flower and red and blue journaling blocks are all by K&Company. "Quality Time" embellishment is by My Mind's Eye. "Adventuring in" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge (Loop dee loo feature). "Maine" was cut using Opposites Attract. I also used my Gypsy to weld the letters of "adventuring."

I'm back!

After a long hiatus for the extended holiday season, I'm back and scrapbooking again.

I've been a little distracted... I'm PREGNANT! But now I have even more motivation to get caught up on my scrapbooking before the little one arrives in June. =)

This month should be lots of fun. Hubby and I will find out the gender of our baby and I'm going on a 3 day scrapbooking retreat at Green Tangerines.

Anyway... on to my new layouts to share...

Gypsy!

Ok. I did it. I cratered. My hubby spoiled me for Christmas (early) and let me buy a Gypsy for my Cricut. I'm still learning but I think I will get a lot of use from it. I was a hesitant buyer (until it was a gift!) so I will try to post a full review once I've made a few projects with it.

Couch Potatoes.

I just can't help scrapbooking our super cute cats! Sometimes I come home to find that they've each picked a couch and have obviously been there all day. =)

Details: "No Scratching Anytime" metal sticker is by EK Success. Kitty patterned paper and 3D stickers are by ki Memories Playful Pets. "Couch Potatoes" was cut using the Cuttin Up' Cricut cartridge.

Shoutout: Journaling just says "Couch Potatoes, Zeus, Poseidon" repeated. I really wanted the look of writing all around but didn't have that much to say about the cats sleeping on our couches, so my friend Sara came up with this text idea. Thanks Sara! I think the handwriting made the layout pop.

Fun & Games

These are pictures from my trip home in August. My family loves to play board games and mini golf!

Details: Graph patterned paper with green circles is by Pink Paisley Office Lingo. Blue and green patterned papers (same double-sided sheet) are by Crate Paper. Green scallop border is by Sassafras Lass. Green/white ribbon is by SEI. Brown glittery swirl rubons are by Colorbok. "&" was cut using the Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge. Cork letter stickers are by Making Memories Great Escape.
