Jungle Cat

Oh, our silly cat Poseidon. He decided that munching on the cat grass from the side of the trough just was not enough fun. He needed to be right in the middle of things.

This was a super fun layout to make. I decided to go big and bold with my cartoonish representation of the photos. I mixed a bunch of patterns to create the grass and then cut a big cat to jump through it all. The grass is cut from two different shapes on the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. I mirrored them and also cut them into pieces to make it feel thicker and random.

Products used: Patterned paper: SEI (dots, stripes, grid, black); Tools: Cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge (title), Meow cartridge (cat), Create a Critter cartridge (grass)

Trying New Things

Check out this cute idea on the Making Memories blog! I will need to try this. The Slice looks like a good tool for making it happen, but I'm sure I can do it on my Gypsy, too.

The train flexible template. If you haven't seen this concept yet, you must stop by Paperclipping to learn about flexible templates. And while you are there, check our her awesome videos. I love how Noell approaches scrapbooking from a strongly artistic side.

Welcome to my blog! Hopefully you have already started at the beginning, but if not, please visit Sketch Support!

I have already been having so much fun for NSD. I am attending crops 3 weekends in a row, socializing, scrapping, and enjoying some baby free time. =P I hope to have a lot more posts on the way. Please keep reading to see my take on the Sketch Support NSD Sketch and..... to enter for a fabulous sketch book!

We had this great sketch from Allison to celebrate National Scrapbook Day with:

And here is my creation:

These photos are from Tobin's first adventures at the park. He loved the baby swings but really wasn't too sure about the slide (now he loves it).

Products used: Patterned paper: Crate Paper (die cut), Bo Bunny (blue dotted), October Afternoon (striped); Stickers: Echo Park

Variation 1: Clearly I cut the sketch down to one page. I really liked the left page to use with one vertical and one horizontal photo.

Variation 2: I moved the journaling over to make room for this cute swing sticker.

Leave a comment on this post to be entered to win one of the Sketches for Scrapbooking books. The winner may choose which volume.

Next on the hop please visit Katrina.
